GIBA x Sunwah: When ESG Becomes the Operating System for Sustainable Value Creation

On March 14, 2026, the global intellectual business community GIBA, together with GIBA TCA, Sunwah English Education, and SSBM Vietnam, co-hosted an exclusive leadership dialogue titled “Inner Circle: ESG & Sustainable Thinking.” The event brought together more than 100 business leaders, entrepreneurs, and executives at Sunwah Innovation Center to explore how ESG is reshaping leadership thinking and enterprise strategy in the emerging green economy.

The session was moderated by Speaker Ma Thanh Danh, Deputy CEO of KIDO Group. Drawing on over three decades of leadership and entrepreneurial experience, he challenged the common misconception that ESG represents merely a compliance burden or cost center. Instead, ESG was presented as a strategic driver of long-term value creation and competitive advantage.

A key highlight of the discussion was the introduction of the Sustainability Balanced Scorecard (SBSC)—a strategic management framework that enables organizations to embed sustainability objectives directly into the four core perspectives of the traditional Balanced Scorecard: Financial - Customer - Internal Processes - Learning and Growth

By integrating ESG priorities into these strategic dimensions, businesses can align sustainability goals with operational performance and long-term corporate value.

Another notable tool presented during the session was the ESG Translation Matrix, which provides a structured approach to translating United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into measurable KPIs. This framework allows organizations to monitor sustainability performance through executive dashboards and integrate impact metrics into corporate governance and decision-making processes.

Beyond knowledge sharing, the event created a collaborative space for leaders to exchange real-world experiences, discuss emerging opportunities in sustainable transformation, and strengthen connections within a growing ecosystem of knowledge-driven entrepreneurs and innovators.

    • Felicia Pham, CEO & Founding Shareholder of Sunwah English Education and member of the GIBA community
    • UOB as the program sponsor
    • SSBM Vietnam and Sunwah Innovation Center as supporting partners

The “Inner Circle: ESG & Sustainable Thinking” dialogue also marked the launch of Pioneer Circle, a new series of curated leadership forums initiated by GIBA. Hosted on a monthly basis, Pioneer Circle aims to foster deeper conversations among visionary leaders, strengthen the global network of intellectual entrepreneurs, and accelerate the creation, elevation, and sharing of sustainable value across the business ecosystem.
